Sirenes

Four female voices take the stage to embody one of the most powerful myths of Western culture: that of the sirens. Contrary to what we are accustomed to thinking, the sirens were not originally pure, inarticulate song. On the contrary, they are narrating voices, sonic witnesses to human endeavours. This ensemble of extemporaneous vocal composition explores the boundary between pure sound and language, seducing the listeners into an abyss where they can probe the distance between a breath and a word, and where every sound and every silence becomes laden with meaning.
A project by Miriana Faieta, featuring Ava Alami, Alessandra Diodati, and Donatella Montinaro.

Airy Nothing

Airy Nothing is a duo featuring Pietro Pancella on electric bass and Miriana Faieta on vocals and synth. The project delves into the fleeting nature of sound and words as they transition from the written page to live performance. Like an image emerging from the connection of seemingly random dots, the duo shapes their musical journey through an eclectic repertoire of singer-songwriter traditions. Their performances stand out for their improvisational component and for a sound that draws inspiration from contemporary jazz and the post-rock aesthetic of the ’90s.
